I get inspiration from a lot of places: painting, fiber arts, sculpture, vintage clothing, photographs, the changing seasons… all over the place. I love looking at art online – it’s my favorite "taking a break" time waster. Here are a few things that I dug this week.
- On October 19, the winners of Nikon's "Small World" microscope photography competition were announced. I love seeing the winners every year – the photos are amazing!
- Do you love the Moomins? Here's a peek into Tove Jansson's studio! She died in 2001, but her workspace has been left as it was. Katie Treggiden, editor of Confessions of a Design Geek, was lucky enough to get a tour.
- Kyle Yu’s photographs of Hong Kong streetscapes show the amazing symmetry and geometry that can be found in cities, if you just pay attention and look.
