"Lichen" is painted using encaustic paint on a wood panel. This piece is part of a series inspired by all the beauty in nature, and the solitude and quiet that I seek in the forest.
I paint from the heart, and all of my paintings come from a need for peace, tranquility, and beauty, even on the most challenging days. Beautiful art isn’t a luxury – it’s a necessity!

Hanging Your Painting
The painting arrives ready to hang – a metal hanger is installed on the back so you can hang it and still see the sides of the wood panel and the drips of wax. I always hang them like that, it’s a cool effect! Or you can take your painting to your local framer and have it put in a floating frame. Have questions about framing? Read my recommendations!
Encaustic paint is wax, but it won’t melt in your house. Like all art, you should avoid hanging it in full sun, but a bright room, even if it gets warm, is totally fine. If you have questions about caring for encaustic paintings, you can read more here.
I’ve done my best to match up each painting’s colors perfectly on my monitor, but yours is probably set up a little differently than mine. The colors may look a little different on your monitor than they do in person.
If you get your painting and it’s not quite the color you thought it would be or it doesn’t match your decor, you can return it for a full refund, no questions asked. You’re just responsible for paying the return shipping costs, and I ask that you return it in the original protective packaging so that it stays safe on its journey back to me. Just email me to get a return started.
